Dr. Mahipal Singh Sachdev, is the Chairman and Managing Director and a Promoter of Centre For Sight.
He also set-up the Centre for Sight Eye Institute, Dwarka -North India’s first ever of its kind super speciality eye care hospital, a one stop solution for eye related diseases and problems.
Dr. Mahipal has always believed that efficient and equitable eye care should be accessible to all. With this vision he founded the NDCFS Foundation in 2017 with a vow to overcome barriers impeding delivery of cataract care to underserved, needlessly blind people in the region and to eliminate needless blindness and spread NDCFS’s sustainable model of high-quality, patient-centric healthcare throughout India and neighbouring countries.
Dr Mahipal holds a bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery and a doctor of medicine degree in ophthalmology (“MD), both from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. He completed a fellowship from Georgetown University, Washington, USA. He has over 30 years of experience as an ophthalmic surgeon.
Dr. Mahipal, received Lifetime Achievement Award at Times Health Achiever, Delhi NCR 2017.
Dr. Sachdev has been President and Secretary of the Delhi Ophthalmological Society (“DOS“) and the Vice President, Scientific Committee of All India Ophthalmological Society (“AIOS“). Currently he is the Chairman of the Intraocular Implant and Refractive Society, India. He received the prestigious Padma Shri award in the year 2007.
