NDCFS Foundation is giving hundreds of thousands of people the opportunity to see again. This means more people are able to work to provide for their families, more girls can get an education, and dreams can be realized.
80% of all blindness can be cured. Help us help them.
9 out of 10 of the world’s blind people live in developing countries. In India, this happens to be 18 million blind people, an overwhelming 25% of the world’s blind population. 80% of this blindness is either preventable or curable.
The leading cause of blindness is Cataract which can be prevented through care and surgery. The statistics on blindness are indeed staggering. For each person going blind the impact is enormous. Poverty and blindness is a terrifying combination. Loss of sight most often results in social exclusion, making blind people vulnerable to abuse, destitution and early death.
NDCFS Foundation is on a mission of eradicating curable blindness from even the most poverty-stricken areas of India. We aim at surgically treating of 1.1 million patients by year 2026.
Combined with the contributions our Hospital is making, the donations received from our generous supporters are enabling us to achieve even more substantial successes.
